As we have already informed you, the Westfälische Stahlgesellschaft Group has been the victim of a cyber attack. All areas of our company are currently offline and we can only use our IT systems with considerable restrictions. Production, warehousing and logistics are also affected.
Our primary goal is to minimize the restrictions for you. To this end, we are using alternative – partly analog – emergency solutions. We can still be reached via the usual telephone numbers and can therefore also accept orders, organize shipping and issue handwritten documents. We are making every effort to avoid delivery problems and delays. The administrative documentation is maintained without any gaps.
The attackers had access to data stored on our systems. The relevant data protection authorities have been informed. Our experts and the internal crisis team are currently working on a detailed analysis of the attack and the secure reconstruction of the systems and are confident that the majority of the core systems (merchandise management, production, accounting, etc.) will be operational again in the short term.
